The French fashion house Hermès and its signature orange color are known around the world, but most people probably aren’t aware it began as a harness maker in 1837 in Paris. The brand has maintained its equestrian roots as a title sponsor of Wellington’s world-renowned Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF).
This unique work of art is painted on an authentic, 100% silk Hermès scarf, inspired by its founder’s collection of stirrups from around the world. Lucks built a custom wood support for the scarf, just as Hermès crafts made-to-measure harnesses and saddles.
