New paintings for Miami Art Week; December 6 holiday order cutoff
Now that the dust has settled from Thanksgiving weekend, I am thrilled to announce my next exhibition... Beginning next week, the entire city of Miami explodes into the biggest art destination in the country, probably the world. Art Basel in South Beach is the center of attention, and I will be showing three brand new paintings about a mile south at the Kimpton Angler's Hotel.
The non-profit No More Starving Artists Foundation (NMSAF) secured the space at the Kimpton and I will be one of thirty artists participating. In the spirit of the city and Miami Art Week, I created three new 48"x24" original paintings to attract Miami sports fans: Dan Marino, Lionel Messi, and Dwyane Wade. The backgrounds were painted as one, so the three canvases can hang together or separately.
Here is the action-packed Schedule of Events for all of you Miami residents or those planning on making the trip:
November 30: Media Day, 3-9pm
December 1: Preview Day, 5-10pm
December 2: Open to the public, 12-4pm
Artist talks, 6-10pm
December 3-5: Welcome to Art Week, 11am-4pm, 6-10pm
December 6: Private Awards Ceremony, 6-10pm. This is a ticketed event to raise money for the non-profit. Buy your tickets HERE and use promo code "Fundraiserdiscount" for 50% off.
December 7: Open to the public, 12-3pm. Open reception and Artist Talks, 6-10pm. I will be one of 5 artists speaking this evening.
December 8: Fundraising Day and Art Battle Competition, 11am-10pm. I will be one of 5 artists creating a painting live, from scratch, which will be available for purchase after guests vote on the winner.
December 9: Open to the public, 11am-10pm
Marketplace (prints available for sale), 11am-6pm
December 10: Closing of the Art Fair Ceremony, 11am-5pm
Prints are available of each painting: Marino, Messi, D-Wade. The last day to order prints to arrive in time for Christmas is December 6.
